♡ EPISODE 1 // Rainbow Cake






Servings: 5

Cook: 20-25 mins

·      Cake Flour – 1 ½ cup
·      Sugar – 1 cup
·      Baking Powder – 2 teaspoons
·      Whole Milk – ½ cup
·      Unsalted Butter – ¼ and ½  cups at room temp.
·      Eggs - 2
·      Vanilla Extract or Kewra (whichever you have) – 1 teaspoon
·      Vanilla Buttercream 
·      Baking Gel Icing Colours
·      Bonus: Add in some colourful sprinkles for a vanilla confetti cake


1.    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.    Whisk the eggs, milk and vanilla extract or kewra in a bowl.
3.    Use your electric mixer to mix together the dry ingredients for 2 mins.
4. Once mixed, add in both the mixtures and use the electric mixture to incorporate everything.
5.    Add the batter into 5 different bowls, and add in your gel colours.
6.    Divide the colourful batters into 5 different pans that are sprayed with a non-stick spray.
7.    Bake until the toothpick comes out clean, typically around 10 – 15 mins.
8.    Let cake cool for around 5-10 mins once baked.
9.    Use a serrated knife to get even cake layers so you can ice the cake nicely.
10.  Use a cake turntable to add on the cake layers, and frost them one by one.
11.  Add a crumb coat with buttercream frosting and put cake inside the fridge for 10 mins.
12.  Take out from fridge and apply a final layer of frosting & decorate!
 I decorated with sprinkles on the outside and rosettes on top
