♡ EPISODE 2 // Cinnamon Rolls

# Of Cinnamon Rolls: 17 rolls
Preparation: 20 mins
Cook: 30 mins

Yeast:
v Warm Water – ½ cup
v Sugar – 1 tbsp.

Dough:
v All Purpose Flour – 5 cups
v Yeast – 1 packet or 32 grams
v Milk – 1 cup
v Egg (at room temperature) – 1
v Butter (at room temperature) – ¼ cup
v Salt – 2 teaspoons
v Granulated Sugar – ¼ cup
v Olive Oil – 1 tbsp (to oil the bowl)
v Water – upto ½ cup (add in little by little as needed for dough)

Filling:
v Cinnamon Powder (for the filling) – 2 tablespoons
v Granulated Sugar (for the filling) – ½ cup
v Butter at room temperature (for the filling) – ¼ cup
v OPTIONAL: Brown Sugar (for the filling) – ¼ cup
v OPTIONAL: Vanilla Extract – 1 tsp

Note: I do not really like the taste of brown sugar in my filling so I do not add it. You may add that if you wish. Also, same thing for Vanilla Extract, I don’t really think it makes much of a difference lol. Make sure to taste the filling and add in more of whatever you want.

1.    In a bowl, add in ½ cup of warm water, 1 tbsp of sugar and your yeast.
2.    In another bowl, whisk together your milk, egg, butter, salt and sugar.
3.    Make sure your egg/butter are at room temperature. Do NOT add in a cold egg straight from your fridge or melt your butter and add it in immediately. It will not mix with the milk and instead make curds of butter lol!
4.    Add in your flour into the liquid mixture, while adding in water as needed to form the dough.
5.    Once your dough is formed, put it into a bowl that has already been coated with olive oil.
6.    Cover your dough with plastic wrap and put aside in microwave without turning it on (or put it in the warmest place in the kitchen).
7.    Leave dough for 1 hour or once you have seen your dough has risen double the size.
8.    Once your dough has rised, roll the dough as big as you want on a surface sprinkled with flour. (there isn’t a specific size.. it is different for me everytime)
9.    Spread your butter on the rolled dough evenly, and put on your filling.
10.  Roll your dough tightly round and round till you reach the end.
11. Once rolled, cut into even pieces and add them to your pre-buttered pans.
12.  Cover them with plastic wrap and let them rise for about 20 mins.
13. Once risen, put them into your pre-heated oven to 350 degrees.
14. They will take about 25 mins to bake, or until your toothpick comes out clean.

15. OPTIONAL: Add glaze to cinnamon rolls once they are cooled, ENJOY!
